This is our story.
Hi! We’re Brandy and Rick McLain of Modern House Numbers.
In 2008, we were finishing a renovation of our home here in Tucson, Arizona. We wanted to install some modern address numbers as the final touch. To our surprise, we couldn’t find anything we liked. With our experience in architecture and construction we decided to make our own.
Our numbers were everything we had envisioned: stylish, modern and durable. After we put them up, lots of people knocked on our door to ask us about our new numbers. We jumped at the opportunity to help people just like you create your own head-turning, modern curb appeal.
All these years later, we’re proud that every modern number we make is still hand-crafted by our talented team right here in Tucson, AZ.

Our products are substantial and designed to last. Made-to-order and crafted from solid, recycled, ⅜” thick aluminum. You’ll receive a helpful drilling template and mounting hardware for a beautiful, architectural-quality installation.
Brandy
Brandy is an urban planner and site designer with experience at private & non-profit organizations and has been responsible for land development and regional visioning projects. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture and Master in Urban Planning from the University of Arizona. Brandy is passionate about community involvement, anything handmade and holds fond memories of learning to sew at age five. Learn more about Brandy on LinkedIn.
Rick
Rick is a licensed architect at Repp McLain Design & Construction. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Arizona and an MS from the Department of Architecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). When he’s not designing and fabricating he enjoys spending time with Brandy, Jack, Avery & Taylor and restoring his grandfather’s Ford pickup truck. Learn more about Rick on LinkedIn.
